My name is Christina Parrish, and I am an art educator in Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools. I have a BA in Studio Art from Georgia Southern, and a Master of Art Education degree from University of Georgia.
My teaching philosophy strongly correlates with my artist philosophy. My job as an art educator is to make sure that students grasp the basic fundamental ideas and rules of art, and develop their ability to problem-solve through the process of creating art. These ideas are carried over into my own body of work. I do not identify with one particular medium. I love painting, drawing, sculpture, craft, and identify most with the study of art history. |
